ABOUT THE PLACE
Dharmashala is one of the most picturesque hill stations of Himachal Pradesh located in the Kangra Valley nestled in the lap of the magnificent Dhurandhar mountain range. His Holiness Dalai Lama’s residence is in Upper Dharmashala and is famous internationally as ‘Little Lahsa’ since thousands of Tibetan refugees have found refuge here. HOW TO REACH
Nearest broad gauge railhead is Pathankot. A narrow gauge railway line between Pathankot and Jogindernagar passes through Kangra, 17 km. from Dharamshala.
Nearest airport is Gaggal airport located 15 km from Dharamshala. Other airports having regular service are: Jammu 200 km, Amritsar 210 km and Chandigarh 260 km.
Almost each and every part of the state is linked by roads. There is huge network of HRTC to cater the needs of the people.
