ABOUT THE PLACE

At the northwest of Bankura town, at a distance of 55 km, stands the highest hill in the district Biharinath. At a height of 1,500 feet the hill stands filling the blue sky amid a wide range of flora and fauna. People throng the Biharinath temple at foot of the hill. Some spare time can be spent boating on the lake near the temple.

Biharinath is an ideal destination for adventure lovers. Trekking on Biharinath hill is a unique experience. It will take just one and half to two hours to climb the hilltop. Guides are available.


HOW TO REACH

Trains like Black Diamond, Coalfield, Shaktipunja or Satabdi Express will take you to Asansol or Ranigunj. Biharinath is 22 km from Ranigunj and 66 km from Durgapur.
