ABOUT THE PLACE

Ranchi is the capital of the newly found state Jharkhand. Situated in the Chotanagpur plateau at a high altitude of 2,140 feet (654.5 metres) above sea level Ranchi is famous for waterfalls and is often referred to as ‘ City of Waterfalls’.

HOW TO REACH

Rachi is connected to major cities of eastern India through South Eastern Railways.

There are regular Indian Airlines flights from Kolkata, Patna, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai for Ranchi.

National highways NH-3 and NH-33 both pass through Ranchi and NH-75 originates from here making it one of the most well-connected city in India. Buses are running to and fro the main places of the state and outside the state.


BEST TIME TO VISIT

Because of its geographical location and the distinct nature of landscape Ranchi is quite warm in summer and cold in winter. September to May is perfect time to visit.
