Jaipur Metro services begin

The Jaipur Metro has started operating between Mansarovar and Chandpole from June 2015. The trains will run at a frequency of 10-15 minutes daily, except Sunday (only 15-minute frequency). In between, it will stop at New Aatish Market, Vivek Vihar, Shyam Nagar, Ram Nagar, Civil Lines, Railway Station, Sindhi Camp. The first train will leave Manasarovar at 6.45 am and the last train at 9 pm. In the reverse direction, the first train will Chandpole will leave at 7 am and the last train at 9 pm. This time table will be valid for the next three months. The Metro Feeder Service will ensure connectivity with other parts of the city by introducing shared vehicles on approved routes. The peak and off-peak hours will be determined later. The peak hour fares will range from Rs 10 to Rs 20 and the off-peak fares will range from Rs 5 to Rs 15. For the next six months, only off-peak fares will apply. Visitors to Jaipur can avail the Tourist Cards, valid for one-day (Rs 100) and three-days (Rs 200), for multiple rides within the validity of the ticket. The Tourist Cards include a refundable deposit of Rs 50.
